Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is set to submit a transfer request to leave the club at the end of the season according to reports in the media. Abraham has hardly played under the new managerial regime of Thomas Tuchel at the club and he’s said to have made up his mind to leave the club this summer.
Chelsea striker Abraham was recently dropped from the squad for the big FA Cup semi-final clash with Manchester City. The ex-Aston Villa striker was not involved in the 20-man Chelsea team that ended the quadruple dream being talked about at Manchester City.
Without Abraham in the squad, Chelsea defeated Manchester City 1-0 at the Wembley Stadium to book their place in the FA Cup final. Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech was responsible for the only goal of the match. His goal came ten minutes into the second half.
The Blues will face Leicester City in the final of the FA Cup after the Foxes saw off Southampton by the same 1-0 scoreline in the other semi-final. In-form Kelechi Iheanacho scored the winning goal ten minutes into the second half.
Abraham would be hoping to be part of the Chelsea squad for the FA Cup final even though he missed the semi-final as pointed out earlier.
He has been linked with Premier League teams like West Ham United and Leicester City on the back of his lack of playing time in the Tuchel era at Chelsea.
West Ham United are yet to replace French striker Sebastien Haller in their team since he was sold to Dutch team Ajax Amsterdam in the January transfer window.
Without a recognised out-and-out striker like Haller, West Ham United have been able to maintain their chase for a Champions League spot ahead of the final six games of the season.
