West Ham did really well to hold Jurgen Klopp’s men to a 1-1 draw last time out in the league at Boleyn Ground, to blow the Premier League title race wide open once again.
Following the huge game at the Boleyn Ground, West Ham head coach Manuel Pellegrini seemed really displeased at JurgenKlopp, sending a very important message to the German boss.
Speaking after the match, Pellegrini revealed how he believes JurgenKlopp always wins his games with offside goals.
The Hammers came from a goal behind to salvage a draw, after Sadio Mane had given the visitors the lead. Michail Antonio provided the equalizer for the hosts, downing the title hopes of all Liverpool supporters.
In the build up to Mane’s goal, Lallana did really well to hold up the ball on the right wing before releasing Milner, who in turn sent in the low cross for Mane’s calm finish.
However, replays show that Milner was actually in an offside position at the time Lallana fed him with the pass and the goal should not have stood.
Pellegrini was clearly displeased with the referee’s decision as he felt Mane’s goal should have been chalked off for offside. He went back in time, citing a UEFA Champions League game where his Malaga side were controversially beaten by Klopp’s Borrusia Dortmund.
The Argentine head coach still has bad blood with Klopp and has reignited his long held grudge with the Liverpool manager, insisting Mane’s goal should not have stood as it was clearly offside.
Next up for West Ham United is a Premier League away game at Crystal Palace on February 9.
